The top-seeded Quispamsis Kennebecasis Valley Crusaders dispatched the 8th-seeded Miramichi James M. Hill Tommies 55-43 as Johnston scored 14, Millican 10, Sweet 8, Jackson 7, McPhee 6, Tonge 4, Kilfoil 4 and Chapel 2. Tanya Machiermaid paced the Tommies with 13. The 3rd-seeded Fredericton Black Kats dumped the 6th-seeded Sussex Sonics 62-47 as Jeffrey scored 15, Saunders 13, Fellows 12, MacSween 8, Lacey 4, Oldham 4, Smith 2, Folster 2 and Rainville 2. Monique DeWinter led the Sonics with 22. Heather Moore added 12, Kara Keays 4, Trudy Corbett 4, Tanya Graham 4 and Lisa Atkinson 1.
In the last quarterfinal, the 4th-seeded Moncton Harrison Trimble Trojans spanked the 5th-seeded Saint John Greyhounds 70-54 as Lund scored 22, Jardine 14, Brady 10, Landers 7, Ulanis 6, Connors 5, Gautreau 3, Dwan 2 and Crawford 1. Heather Pringle led the Greyhounds with 23. Sherry Robson added 12, Kelly Haslam 6, Rhonda Hooley 5, Jackie Brownell 4, Christine Sweet 2 and Chris Thorne 2.
In the semis, the top-seeded Quispamsis Kennebecasis Valley Crusaders stomped the 4th-seeded Moncton Harrison Trimble Trojans 74-44 as Johnston scored 19, Sweet 18, Tonge 8, Jackson 8, Robertson 6, Shipley 5, Millican 5, Chappell 2, McPhee 2 and Kilfoil 1. Lund led the Trojans with 13. Jardine added 6, Landers 5, Brady 5, Connors 5, Gautreau 4, Santuri 2, Ulanis 2 and Dewan 2.
In the other semi, the 3rd-sseded Fredericton Black Kats defeated the 2nd-seed Bathurst Phantoms 74-44 as Saunders scored 21, MacSween 18, Fellos 14, Jeffrey 8, Oldham 6, Smith 5 and Foster 2. Flynn led the Phantoms with 28. Furlotte added 11, Verret 10, Delicaet 8, Hachey 6 and Jamieson 2.
In the final, the 3rd-seeded Fredericton Black Kats defeated the top-seeded Quispamsis Kennebecasis Valley Crusaders 58-53 as MacSween scored 21, Saunders 12, Smith 9, Jeffrey 8 and Fellows 8. The Black Kats built an early 12-2 lead and held on for the win. Blacks Kats coach Jackie Mooney told the Saint John Telegraph-Journal that “I had confidence in my team even when Kennebeccasis came back. The way they started the game, I know they came to win it.” Saunders told the Fredericton Daily Gleaner that “we came in knowing we had to have a good attitude.” The win capped a girls/boys AAA double for Fredericton. Johnston led the Crusaders with 21. Jackson added 10, Chappel 6, Millican 6, Robertson 4, Sweet 2, Gregg 2 and Kilfoil 2.
