It is announced that all girl’s teams with commence playing boy’s rules as of the 67 campaign. But the NBIAA voted to wait until the fall of 1967 to adopt the CABA rules for girls’ interscholastic teams throughout the province so it isn’t until the following year that girl’s high school play adopts the five-man game.

        In the semis, the Fredericton Black Kats defeated St. John St. Vincent’s 31-30 in overtime.

        In the final, the Fredericton Black Kats edged the Moncton Purple Knights 31-30 in overtime. Mary Sedgewick, who was 0-4 from the foul line during the game made a free throw in overtime to give Fredericton the win.
