In the quarterfinals, Saint John Vocational Vultures clipped the Dalhousie Superior Condors 36-21 as Eadie scored 17, Turnbull 11, Cole 3, Nodwell 3 and Gibbons 2. Jean Valdron scored 9 to lead the Condors (coach Mary Thompson). Frances Cameron added 6, while 6 points were unallocated. The Condors also included Jacqueline Sturgeon, Catherine Blanchard, Maureen Kingston, Patsy Foran, Louise Hanley, Gail Pilon, Winnona McCabe and Anne Gallie.

       The McAdam Warriors spanked the St. Stephen Spartans 43-27 as May scored 27, Blair 10 and Short 6. Natalie Russell led the Spartans (coach Herb Fitzgerald) with 11. Shriley Doherty added 11 and Lois Eastman 5, while Willena Cleary, Jean McHugh, Donna Cook, Donna Logan, Coleen Acheson, Eleanor Boles, Joyce Clarke, Jan Allen and Claire Douglas were scoreless.

       The Fredericton Black Kats torched the Woodstock Wildcats 34-8 as Bliss scored 17, Sharpe 8, Wheeler 7 and Boldon 2.  Elaine Kelly scored 4 to lead the Wildcats (coach Mildred Hawks, manager W.S. Brownrigg). Elizabeth Montgomery added 2 and Winona Briggs 2, while Helen Leech, Rhea Hamilton, Mary Boyer, Mary Slater, Glenna McGaughey, Carol Jewitt, Alice Knox, Ann Palmer, Eileen Gray and Wort were scoreless.

       In the last quarterfinal, the Saint John Greyhounds whipped the Moncton Purple Knights 78-17 as McLeese scored 36, Bate 26, Danells 12 and Calp 4. MacNutt led the Purple Knights with 8. MacLellan added 3, O’Brien 3 and Maclean 3, while Williams, Dobson, Bray, McKenzie, Neal, Merrithew, Bursey and McGinnis were scoreless.

       In the semis, the Saint John Greyhounds clubbed the McAdam Warriors 62-43 as McLeese scored 24, Bate 16, Danells 12 and Thomas 10. May led the Warriors with 33. Short added 8 and Blair 2.

       In the other semi, the Fredericton Black Kats edged Saint John Vocational Vultures 33-32 as Bliss scored 17, Wheeler 8, Sharpe 6 and Carson 2. Turnbull led Vocational with 17. Eadie added 14 and Cole 1.

In the final, the Saint John Greyhounds edged the Fredericton Black Kats 49-47 as Jean Thomas hit the winner with 10 seconds to play. The Greyhounds led 14-10 after one quarter and 24-23 at the half in capturing their fourth consecutive title. McLeese led the Greyhounds with 19. Thomas added 14, Bate 9 and Danells 7. Bliss paced the Black Kats with 19. Wheeler added 16 and Sharpe 12.
