In the quarterfinals of a six-team draw, held in Moncton, the Moncton Purple Knights defeated the Fredericton Black Kats 26-25 as Garland scored 12, Dunphy 8, Arsenault 4, Colpitts 1 and Spencer 1. Mary Neilson led the Black Kats with 11. Gwen Horsnell added 7, Betty Price 4 and Jackie Richard 2, while 2 points were unallocated. The Black Kats also included Ellen McLaggan, Isobel Clarke, Bety Fisher, Marjorie Horsnell, Doris Crawford, Elanor Willie and Wanda Shoffield.

       In the other quarterfinal, the Saint John Greyhounds nipped Sackville 30-29 as Hatfield scored 18, Oland 6, Gold 4 and Sheer 2. Jane Bell led Sackville with 10. Eileen Scott added 9, Doris Lawrence 8 and Girlie Wry 2, while Maisie Goat, Betty Lewis, Rosena Swash, Jeannette Wry, Jean Godfrey, Kay Richardson, Lorine Marshall, Carol Fielding and Vivian Gaudet were scoreless.

       In the semis, the Sussex Sonics torched the St. Stephen Spartans 36-19 as Hills scored 20 and Wallace 16. Allan led the Spartans with 5. Walker added 4, Black 4, Mitton 3, Bales 2 and Lanning 1.

       In the other semi, the Moncton Purple Knights defeated the Saint John Grayhounds x-x.

In the final, the Moncton Purple Knights defeated the Sussex Sonics 49-46 in overtime.
