The Trojans overcame a 16-point deficit in the final seven minutes of play. Trojans coach Scott Steeves told the Fredericton Daily Gleaner that “we hit some big shots. All week, I preached about being a team that executes. On this floor, your emotions, your nerves, everything’s going nuts. The team that stays calm and executes wins the game. We sure did down the stretch. That last eight minutes was poetry in motion.” Foster led the Crusaders with 27. Coleman added 13, Belyea 10 and Allum 6. The Crusaders led 49-44 at the half. Foster said “they hit all the shots and they went into a zone. We’ve had trouble all year against the zone.” Crusaders coach Peter Atkinson said that when Craik “hit the shot (with Kennebecasis Valley leading 77-69 with 5:26 to play) from the corner and we got called for ploughing through the screen, that turned the game around. It was legitimate call but that four-point play gave them momentum.”
