The St. Stephen Spartans defeated the Edmundston Cormier Cougars 49-45 as Glass scored 23, Yardley 15, MacPherson 4, McKinnon 3, Mitchell 2 and McKnight 2. Martin Voisine led the Cougars with 19. In the last quarterfinal, the Moncton Purple Knights clubbed Bathurst Sacred Heart 45-30 as Steeves scored 9, MacKay 8, Storey 8, Betts 8, Buck 5, Kervin 4 and Sears 2. Arthur Benoit paced Sacred Heart with 16. Paul Chiasson added 5, O’Connell 4, McLean 3, Thibodeau 1 and Melanson 1, while Comeau was scoreless.
In the semis, the Saint John Greyhounds nipped the Fredericton Black Kats 28-26 as Peters scored 9, Gould 9, Gregg 8 and Garland 2. Lake led the Black Kats with 9. Oldham added 6, Turnbull 4, Campbell 4, Waters 2 and Doyle 1.
