Prior to the start of the tournament, held in Fredericton, the Saint John Greyhounds were tossed from the draw for violating NBIAA rules which prohibited athletes from playing with teams outside their school without permission. The Greyhounds (coach Ed Skiffington) were to have received a bye into the semis.

       In the quarterfinal of a five-team draw, the Campbellton Tigers torched Chatham St. Thomas Academy 55-21 as Butler scored 26, Flann 17, Diotte 7, Bulmer 3 and Dancause 2. Took paced St. Thomas with 7. Driscoll added 4, Traboulsse 4, Flood 4 and Colton 2, while O’Donnell, P Paul, Galliah, Ward and G Paul were scoreless.

       In the semis, the Fredericton Black Kats torched the Edmundston Cormier Cougars 48-28 as Forbes scored 18, Gorman 12, Manzer 11, Sears 3 and Bamford 2. R Theriault led the Cougars with 16. Tobin added 6, L Theriault 2, Lapointe 2 and Rossignol 2.

       In the other semi, the Campbell Tigers clocked the Moncton Purple Knights 38-22 as Flann scored 14, Butler 14, Bulmer 6, Diotte 2 and Dancause 2. Bryant led the Purple Knights with 6. Matheson added 5, Goss 5, Yeomans 4 and Richards 2.

In the final, the Fredericton Black Kats clubbed the Campbellton Tigers 37-22 Forbes scored 13, Gorman 11, Sears 4, Campbell 3, Geroge 2 and Manzer 2. Flann led the Tigers with 7. Dancuase added 5, Diotte 4, Butler 4 and Bulmer 1, while one point was unallocated.
