The Moncton Purple Knights defeated Chatham St. Thomas Academy 33-18 as Nelson scored 18, Wolfe 6, Garland 2, King 2, Neal 1 and Goss 1. E Gillespie led St. Thomas with 6. B Sweeney added 4 and Ron Dunphy 1, while W McGinn, B Mulherin, G Breau, A Lefever and T Culbert were scoreless.
The Fredericton Black Kats dispatched the St. John St. Vincent’s Fighting Irish 37-14 as P Grant scored 13, Brannen 9, Staples 6, F Prime 4, Harvey 3 and Clark 2. In the other semi, the Moncton Purple Knights dispatched Sackville Mount Allison Academy 25-18 as MacMichael scored 10, Nelson 10, King 3 and Garland 2. Mills led Mount Allison with 10. Marshall added 8.
In the final, Don ‘Brandy’ Brannon scored 12 to lead the Fredericton Black Kats to a 22-11 win over the Moncton Purple Knights. Grant added 2, Prime 2, Glass 2, Harve 2 and Clark 1. Crossman paced the Purple Knights with 3. Garland added 2, McMichael 2, Wolfe 2 and D Nelson 2. The Black Kats led 6-1 after one quarter and 11-6 at the half.
