In the quarterfinals of a six-team draw held in Fredericton, the Rothesay Red Hawks edged Fredericton Provincial Normal 20-16 as Legassick scored 11, DeWitt 7 and Page 2. Owens led Provincial Normal with 10. Shea added 4 and Albert 2, while Daigle, A Albert, Stamond and Losier were scoreless.
In the other quarterfinal, the Fredericton Black Kats spanked the St. Stephen Spartans 25-8 as Burgess scored 7, Reid 6, Davis 4, Wade 2, Leaman 2, Watson 2 and Fletcher 2. White scored all 8 for the Spartans, who also included Reily, McLellan, Laughlin, Smythe, Lyons, Hyslop, Johnson and Staples.
In the semis, the Fredericton Black Kats defeated Saint John High 22-18 as Davis scored 14, McDiarmid 4, Watson 2 and Reid 2. C Kelley paced the Greyhounds with 7. Thorne added 5, Flewelling 4, Charleton 1 and Logue 1.
In the other semi, Woodstock clipped the Rothesay Collegiate Red Hawks 15-6 as Hanson scored 7, McKinley 6, Hay 2 and Brenol 1. All of the Red Hawks points were on free throws. Legassick notched 2, Page 2, Hannington 1 and DeWitt 1.
In the final, the Fredericton Black Kats dumped Woodstock High 19-12 as McDiarmid scored 7, Davis 6, Wade 3 and Reid 3. Hanson led the Thunder with 5. Grant added 4 and McKinley 3.
