In the semis, the top-seeded Lawrenceville-Bristol Carleton North Stars crushed the 5th-seeded Boiestown Upper Miramichi Regional Boas 100-49 as Jobin scored 17, Peterson 15, DeMerchant 14, Smith 12, Oakes 11, Smalley 10, Hunter 8, Greenlaw 6, McDougall 5, White 2 and Bell 2. In the final, the Harvey Lakers defeated the top-seeded Lawrenceville-Bristol Carleton North Stars 59-45 as Boone scored 18, while nabbing 14 boards, McDade 12, Thompson 11, Wiggans 10, Corey 4, McCulley 2 and King 2. The Lakers led 30-21 at the half. Boone told the Saint John Telegraph-Journal that “I’m extremely happy. We were really nervous but we knew if we calmed down and kept our wits about us, we would do it. This was my last year and I wanted to win so bad and we did it. It was really intimidating but since we had been here last year, that gave us an edge to just take it and go.” Lakers coach John Kirk said “I think the girls are just ready when they come in here to play.” Kirk told the Fredericton Daily Gleaner that “they had some kids in foul trouble. We had some kids in foul trouble. That was a war. … The big part was just beating their pressure. WE had a plan and we stuck to it throughout the game.” Peterson led the Stars with 13. DeMerchant added 11, Hunter 9, Jobin 7, Smith 4 and White 1.
