In the final, the 2nd-seeded Woodstock ‘A’ Wildcats dispatched the top-seeded Petitcodiac Regional Pantherines 51-46 as player of the game Crouse scored 12. Hendry added 10. Wildcats coach Lisa Thomas told the Saint John Telegraph-Journal that “I don’t think it was an upset because we’ve never played each other. It’s hard to rank without our teams playing each other. I think it was a fair game with a really good effort from both teams.” Crouse told the Fredericton Daily Gleaner that “I think we were nervous in the first half. But we settle down in the second half. We forced them to shoot from outside because we knew they were weak there.” Thomas said “we didn’t get much off our fastbreak in the first half and that’s what we were concentrating on in the second half. … to really rebound the ball and run it up the floor. We did that the start of the half and kind of got the momentum going and that helped us in the remaining part of the game. … We worked on that at the half … attacing the wing and dropping them back and trying to get them to take shots from outside. They took a few shots and didn’t make them, so I think that gave us the breaks we needed to run the basketball.” Hoar led the Pantherines with 20. Taylor added 16. The Pantherines led 24-21 at the half.
