In the final, the Hartland Community Huskies dispatched the Grand Manan Breakers 75-49 after leading 22-15, 38-25 and 51-39 at the quarters. “It was points in the paint and intense defence,” Hartland coach Colden Wetmore told the New Brunswick Telegraph-Journal. We played them three weeks ago and the score was 81-79 (for Hartland), so we scored close to the same amount of points today, but we limited them to 49. … We have four guys who have improved in terms of their skill and growth. The chemistry with these guys is awesome.” Zane Hamilton said “just because of that close game back in Hartland, everybody doubted us. We worked on our defence and that really saved us. I love my boys and our fans. I don’t know what I’m going to do without them. Winning never gets old.” Zach Pothier said “they out-rebounded us by a lot. I feel like their two big guys didn’t try quite as hard (in the previous meeting). They outsize us by a lot. They’re both six-foot-five, so there’s really not much we could do. Shea (Linton at six-foot-three) is our biggest player.” Zachary Foster paced the Huskies with 20 on 9-17 from the floor, 2-2 from the line and 14 boards.
