In the regional semis and provincial quarterfinals held in Hillsborough, the host Caledonia Tigers clocked the Grand Manan Breakers 94-60 as Brownlie scored 28 and Pugh 18. Orlando Russell led the Breakers with 17. Robby Russell added 10.
In the other regional semi, the Harvey Lakers whipped the Boiestown Upper Miramichi Boas 93-61 as Harris scored 19 and Seminatore 17. Nick Curtis led the Boas with 16. Scott Shannon added 12.
In the regional final and provincial semis, the Hillsborough Caledonia Tigers clipped the Harvey Lakers 74-61 as Faulkner scored 21, Pugh 17 and Brownlie 14. The Tigers led 41-23 at the half. Seminatore led the Lakers with 20. Harris added 15.
In the regional semis and provincial quarterfinals held in Hartland, the Petitcodiac Regional Panthers nipped the Grand Falls John Caldwell Golden Knights 66-65 as Harvey scored 22 and McCordic 15. Mike Vienneau led the Golden Knights with 20. Nathan Chettler added 18.
In the other regional semi, the Hartland Huskies mauled the Stanley Blue Devils 101-59 as Anderson scored 30 and Albright 22. Mike Gallagher scored 21 to lead the Blue Devils (coach Phillip Plume). Josh Ryan added 17.
In the regional final and provincial semis, the Hartland Huskies spanked the Petitcodidac Regional Panthers 88-64 as Albright scored 26, Orser 19 and Anderson 16. Price led the Panthers with 28. McCordic added 12.
In the final, the Hartland Huskies spanked the Hillsborough Caledonia Tigers 76-48 as player of the game Dickinson scored 23, while nabbing 15 boards, Anderson 16 and Albright 10, while nabbing 13 boards. The Huskies led 11-0 early, 48-25 at the half and by as many as 34 as they capped a boys/girls double for the school. Anderson told the Fredericton Daily Gleaner that after seeing Dickinson come off the floor with a bloody shin that “I didn’t think he was human until I saw that blood. Then I knew he was mortal. He pulled us through. We all started a little slow. He’s a great player and he left it all out there tonight.” Pugh led the Tigers with 18. Faulkner added 12. Tigers coach Frank Brubacher said “we just shoot the ball well and I thought the officials let a lot of bumping and stuff go. But hats off to Hartland. They outhustled us on both ends of the floor, especially in the first half.
