In the quarterfinals, the top-seeded Grand Falls John Caldwell Golden Knights torched the 8th-seeded Boiestown Upper Miramichi Regional Boas 93-42 as Trojanowski scored 25, Vienneau 21, Rivard 14 and Chettier 11. Brad Paul led the Boas with 10. The Boas also included Mike Curtis, Brett Black.
The 4th-seeded Hillsborough Caledonia Regional Tigers defeated the 5th-seeded Hartland Huskies x-x as Colpitts scored 18 and Geldart 14. Barry Anderson led the Huskies with 17. Scott Cook added 17 and Jamie McMullin 14
The 2nd-seeded Grand Manan Breakers dispatched the 7th-seeded Minto Memorial Tigers x-x.
In the last quarterfinal, the 3rd-seeded Petitcodiac Regional Tigers defeated the 6th-seeded Fredericton Devon Park Christian Eagles x-x.
In the semis, the 4th-seeded Hillsborough Caledonia Regional Tigers edged the Grand Falls John Caldwell Golden Knights 56-53 as Geldart scored 18 and Pugh 8. Chettler led the Golden Knights with 16. Trojanowski added 15 and Vienneau 12. The Golden Knights led 26-22 at the half.
In the other semi, the 2nd-seeded Grand Manan Breakers clipped the 3rd-seeded Petitcodiac Regional Panthers 64-56.
In the final, the final, the 2nd-seeded Grand Manan Community Breakers stomped the 4th-seeded Hillsborough Caledonia Regional Tigers 87-57 as Linton scored 27, Huckins 20 and Ingersoll 14. The Breakers broke to a 27-8 lead and led 46-32 at the half. Linton told the Saint John Telegraph-Journal that “it feels great. It feels awesome. This is what I’ve been waiting for all my life, ever since I first picked up a basketball.” Breakers coach Charles Jensen said “I’ve had this team together since junior high school, when we won the provincials. … We stayed together and worked hard. I guess it paid off tonight.” Geldart led the Tigers with 16. Pugh added 16. Tigers coach Doug Cochrane told the Fredericton Daily Gleaner that “we were happy we could chip away in the second half but they’re just quicker than we are and they’ve got a very solid, very athletic team.”
