A five-team round-robin tourney. Teams from Saint John Simonds Seabees, Minto Regional Tigers, St. George, the Campobello Island Consolidated Vikings and Grand Manan Breakers.

The Minto Memorial Regional Tigers finished with a (4-0) record.

        The old A, B & C tournaments are abolished and replaced with three new classifications. R for regional and L and M for Large and Medium schools. Schools could elect up.

        In the final, St. George Eastern Charlotte Regional defeated the Stanley Regional Blue Devils 44-5.

        In the final, Saint John Rothesay Regional Red Hawks defeated Salisbury Regional 32-30.

        The regional title was decided in round robin play after Grand Manan school was closed. Back Bay took lopsided wins over the Harvey Lakers and Perth to capture the crown. Ron Hooper of Back Bay scored 63 points in two games.

        The all-tournament team included Ron Hooper (Back Bay); Mariner Leavitt (Back Bay); John Wentworth (Back Bay); Fred Johnson (Perth Regional); and Saunders (Harvey Regional)

        After the season, the province was divided into eight zones and the schools reclassified into either M or L depending on enrolment. The regional class of schools was eliminated.
