In the northeast sectional and provincial quarterfinals, the 2nd-seeded Woodstock Thunder thrashed the 3rd-seeded Salisbury JMA Armstrong Cougars 100-29. The 4th-seeded Saint John Rothesay Regional Red Hawks clubbed the top-seeded Miramichi James M. Hill Tommies 61-41. The Tommies included Emily Fitzpatrick, Meagan MacDiarmid, Alexi Despres, Hallie MacEachern, Madalyn Jardine.
In the southwest sectional, the 3rd-seeded Bristol Carleton North Stars stunned the 2nd-seeded Sackville Tantramar Regional Titans 53-21. The Titans included Katie Hess, Rebecca Long, Claire Johnson.
In the last quarterfinal, the top-seeded St. George Fundy Mariners whipped the 4th-seeded Campbellton Sugarloaf Bruins 83-48. The Bruins included Megan Gallie.
In the provincial semis, the Woodstock Thunder whacked the Saint John Rothesay Regional Red Hawks 74-54.
In the other semi, the St. George Fundy Mariners clipped the Bristol Carleton North Stars 64-52.
In the final, the Woodstock Thunder edged the Fundy Mariners 53-47. The Mariners led 14-12 after one quarter. The Thunder led 25-20 at the half and 41-34 after three quarters. Sandy Saunders paced the Thunder with 13 on 3-14 from the floor, 0-4 from the arc, 7-10 from the line, 8 boards, 5 assists, 4 blocks and 2steals. Sydney Saunders added 11 on 5-19 from the floor, 0-3 from the arc, 1-2 from the line, 12 boards and 4 assists.
