In the other semi, the Sackville Tantramar Titans whipped the Woodstock Wildcats 71-44.

In the final, the Sackville Tantramar Regional Titans defeated the Bristol Carleton North Stars 74-62 to capture their second consecutive provincial title. “That’s the way it’s been all year, but today I just as much couldn’t get it together in the first half, but in the second half everyone came together and we played our game,” Kaye, who was chosen player of the game for the Titans, told the Moncton Times & Transcript. “This feels more like relief this time. We had such a good season, but it wouldn’t have mattered if we didn’t win this game.” The Titans finished 40-2 on the campaign, and avenged losses to the North Stars in two of the previous four provincial finals. “You could see all their fans compared to ours, but I like that pressure. … I didn’t really step up in the first half, but we got used to it and turned it on in the second.” The Titans led 34-27 at the half and Kaye took command in the second half. She scored 29, including 18 in the second half, while nabbing 10 boards, dishing 8 assists and pilfering 9 balls. Leah Ward notched 21, along with 13 boards, Erin Sloan 6 and Sarah Sutherland 5. “Last year was more about getting our first win after losing two years in a row. This year we had a 40-2 record and we expected to win, but we didn’t come out as well as we usually do, but once we got used to the pressure, we played our game and that’s what we had to do,” said Kaye. “This is just great. Getting here four times in a row is a pretty good feat in itself, but winning this year again is a good way to top it off.” Jillian Sipprel led the North Stars with 14. Laura McIntosh and Ashley Dingee each added 10. Titans coach Mark Bohan said “this was our fourth trip to the Aitken Centre and you go in with a different mentality compared to the first couple years. Things happen in a game and instead of being crushed by that, you know you can play through them and play your game by the second half and I think that was the difference.” The Titans finished 40-2 on the campaign.
