In the quarterfinals, held in Woodstock, the top-seeded Woodstock Wildcats torched the 8th-seeded Fredericton AA Black Kats 88-46 as Briggs scored 20, Kilborn 14 and McBride 14. Mary Jane Stevens led the AA Black Kats with 12. Kim Corey added 10. The AA Black Kats also included Lisa Mawhinney, Susanne Kelly, Mary Brewar, Janice McCoullough, Susan Long and Lori LaFrance.
The 5th-seeded Saint John St. Vincent’s Fighting Irish clipped the 4th-seeded St. Stephen Spartans 71-61 as Bridgeo scored 16, Hay 15, Murray 12, Judge 12 and Darby 12. Carla Rice led the Spartans with 24. Krista Anderson added 12 and Marcia Urdang 20. The Spartans, who led 31-21 at the half, also included Bernie McShane, Faye Hamilton, Cathy Sweeney.
The 6th-seeded Lawrenceville-Bristol Carleton North Stars dispatched the 3rd-seeded Riverview Royals 70-62 as Moore scored 17, Bubar 17, Taylor 15, Lamoreau 12, Henry 9, McAffee 6, Hawkes 6, Thomas 2 and Lovely 2. Liz Campbell led the Royals with 12. Emily Quigley added 11, Janet Tregunno 7, Lisa Robichaud 6, Barb Leaman 6, Jo Gant (Gaunce?) 6, Ann Mills 4, Liz Nowlan 4 and Maureen Taylor 2.
In the last quarterfinal, the 2nd-seeded Sussex Sonics spanked the 7th-seeded Campbellton Sugarloaf Bruins 65-51 as Reicker scored 20, McGarrigle 14, Johnson 12, Hutchinson 7, Gallant 4, Jenkins 4, Sharpe 2 and Seymour 2. Wendy Smith led the Bruines with 17. Patti Doyle added 15, Giselle Aucoin 9, Colleen (Pauline?) Kean 6 and Mildred Metalic 4, while Lisa Metalic was scoreless.
In the semis, the top-seeded Woodstock Wildcats crushed the 5th-seeded Saint John St. Vincent’s Fighting Irish 75-47 as Kilburn scored 21, Briggs 16, Slipp 16, McBride 13, Tenhave 7, MacNabb 2 and Kirkpatrick 1. Bridgeo led the Fighting Irish with 13. Murray added 12, Judge 10, Darby 4, Gorman 2, Hay 2, Gillan 2 and Vienneau 2.
In the other semi, the 2nd-seeded Sussex Sonics defeated the 6th-seeded Lawrenceville-Bristol Carleton North Stars 49-45 as McGarrigle scored 19, Gallant 12, Sharp 6, Reicker 5, Johnson 5 and Hutchinson 2. Taylor led the Stars with 19. Henry added 9, Hawkes 6, Bubar 4, Lamoreau 3, Foster 2 and McAffee 2.
In the bronze medal match, the 5th-seeded Saint John St. Vincent’s Fighting Irish dispatched the 6th-seeded Lawrenceville-Bristol Carleton North Stars 59-52 as Bridgeo scored 15, Murray 9, Gillan 8, Judge 7, Hay 6, LeBlanc 3 and Calder 2.
