In the quarterfinals, held in McAdam, the top-seeded Florenceville Falcons spanked the 8th-seeded host McAdam Warriors 51-33 as Lyon scored 23, M McIsaac 11, McCain 8, Petley 5, D McIsaac 3 and Hunter 1. Louise Page paced the Warriors with 20. Lynn Page added 7, Williams 2, Wilson 2 and Tracy 2, while Anderson, Sangster and Lister were scoreless.

       The 5th-seeded Petitcodiac Regional Pantherines dispatched the 4th-seeded Grand Manan Breakers 45-38 as Crandall scored 15, MacPherson 8, Steeves 8, Kaye 8 and Holt 6. Wendy Russell led the Breakers with 26. Brenda Flagg added 7 and Gloria Bagley 5, while Parker, Ingalls, Griffin, Eleanor Green and Harvey were scoreless.

       The 2nd-seeded Harvey Lakers defeated the 7th-seeded Hartland Regional Huskies 53-48 as Brewer scored 2, Corey 14, Currie 7, S Davis 6 and M Davis 5. Norma Albright scored 22 to lead the Huskies (coach Jerry Newman, manager Terry Nicholson). Shirley McLeod added 12, Joyce Curtis 10 and Liz Bredin 4, while Wanda Stewart, Ruth Robins, Melanie Hovey, Audrey Downey, Valerie Shaw, Carol Glass and Noreen Trecartin were scoreless.

       In the last quarterfinal, the 3rd-seeded Port Elgin Pirates dispatched the 6th-seeded Boiestown Upper Miramichi Regional Boas 43-35 as Fury added 22, Mcleod 12, Brander 6, Reid 2 and Thompson 1. Nita Norrad led the Baos with 13. Scott added 8, Norma McKay 7, J Norrad 6 and Munn 1, while Cleveland and Doak were scoreless.

In the semis, the 5th-seeded Petitcodiac Regional Pantherines upset the top-seeded Florenceville Falcons 35-33 as Crandall scored 10, Steeves 8, Holt 8, Kaye 6, MacPherson 2 and Wheaton 1. Lyon led the Falcons with 11. McCain added 9, M McIsaac 8, D McIssac 3 and Hunter 2.

       In the other semi, the 2nd-seeded Harvey Lakers defeated the 3rd-seeded Port Elgin Pirates 38-30 as Brewer scored 17, Currie 9, Corey 6 and Davis 6. Fury led the Pirates with 16. Reid added 6, McLeod 2, Brander 2 and Mitton 2.

       In the bronze medal match, the top-seeded Florenceville Falcons clubbed the 3rd-seeded Port Elgin Pirates 60-34 as Lyon scored 23, Petley 12, P McCain 11, McIsaac 8, Hunter 2, S McCain 2 and Belyea 2. Pat Fury paced the Pirates with 16. Francis Brander added 13, McLeod 2, Reid 2 and Thompson 1, while Mitton was scoreless.

       In the final, the 5th-seeded Petitcodiac Regional Pantherines won their first ever provincial title as Nancy Crandall hit a free throw with seven seconds to play to pull out a 37-36 win over the 2nd-seeded Harvey Lakers. Steeves led the Pantherines with 17. McPherson added 8, Holt 7, Wheaton 3, Crandall 3 and Kaye 2. Brewer led the Lakers with 18. Currie added 12, Corey 4 and Davis 2.
