In the quarterfinals, held in Centreville, the McAdam Warriors dispatched Bathurst Monsigneur LeBlanc 35-22 as Piercy scored 14, Carroll 5 and Painter 2. LeBlanc (coach Mrs. John Carr) included Norma Grant, Barb McArdle, Ann Jarrrat; Jean Arseneau, Patsy Frenette, Marily Sweet, Catherine Wedge, Eva May Sisk, Madeline Ferris, Jane Callaghan, White, Jean Hache and Cormier.

       The Harvey Lakers edged the Centreville Regional Cougars 36-34 as Corey scored 18, Brewer 16 and Ward 2. Corey hit two free throws in the final 24 seconds to win it. Nelda Bell scored 30 to pace the Cougars (coach Frank Cluff Jr). Jane lee added 2, while two points were unallocated. The Cougars also include Susie Smith, McAuley, Tompkins, White, B Smith, Pam Brown, Lamoreaux, Watson, Drake and Gallagher.

       The Port Elgin Pirates crushed the Grand Manan Breakers 61-34 as Tingley scored 27, Jones 18, Payne 24, Rutledge 1 and Allen 1. Wanda Cook scored 13 to pace the Breakers 9coach Bob Parks, manager Robert Ellis). Barb Cook added 12, Andrea Brown 7 and Gloria Bagley 2, while Mickey Russell, Wendy Russell, Janis Green, Carolyn Harvey, Shelly Stanley, Brenda Flagg, Linda Daniel and Vivian Fleet were scoreless.

       In the last quarterfinal, the Bath Regional Fighting Bees stung the Rothesay Regional Red Hawks 39-13 as Sherman scored 18, MacInnis 10, Hargrove 9 and Giberson 2. Chrystal Olive led the Red Hawks with 9. Leslie Valpy added 3 and Maureen Hills 1, while G Steel, Sinclair, Dobson, Fowler, Munroe, Green Edgar, Moore, Donovan and P Steele were scoreless.

       In the semis, the McAdam Warriors nipped the Harvey Lakes 35-34 in overtime as Carroll hit a driving layup with 45 seconds to lay. L Thomas led the Warriors with 11. Carroll added 9, Piercy 8, Painte 4 and Thorburn 3. Brewer led the Lakers with 11. Corey added 9, M Davis 9 and Ward 5.

       In the other semi, the Port Elgin Pirates clipped the Bath Regional Fighting Bees 54-45 as Payne scored 23, D Tingley 19 and Jones 12. Shannon led the Fighting Bees with 21. Hargrove added 10, MacInnis 10 and Giberson 4.

       In the bronze medal match, the Bath Regional Fighting Bees whipped the Harvey Lakers 48-28 as Shannon scored 23, Hargrove 20, McInnis 2. Pearson 2 and Gormley 1. Ann Brewer led the Lakers with 17. Heather Corey added 8 and Frances Ward 3, while Marg Davis, Messer, Beth Coburn, Marie Feeny, Brenda Saunders, Cheryl Davis, Hood, Judith Currie, Judy Fletcher, Carole Moore, Connie Howell and M Davis.

In the final, Port Elgin crushed the McAdam Warriors 64-29 as Tingley scored 31, Jones 21 and Payne 12. Thomas led the Warriors with 10. Piercey added 10, Thorburn 5 and Carroll 4.

After the season, the NBIAA announces that girl’s at the AA level would commence playing men’s (five-man) rules in 1978-68, rather than women’s (six-man) rules.
