In the final, the Sackville Tantramar Regional Titans captured their third consecutive title by defeating the Dalhousie Regional Condors 58-51 as Zachery Strang scored 17, Matt Trenholm 12 and Andrew Roach 11. “To tell you the truth, I thought it was going to be a little easier than it was,” Strang told the Fredericton Daily Gleaner. “But they wanted it just as much as we did. You’ve got to give them credit.” Tim Charest led the Condors with 18, while nabbing 15 boards. Mike Blake added 12. Point guard Luke Lavigne added 10, after hitting 3-20 from the floor and picking up three quick fouls, which sent him to the bench midway through the first half. “I just couldn’t find the shot,” said Lavigne. “Usually it’s coming out really smooth, nice and high, but it was coming out flat today … I tried to do too much. I tried to bring my team back into the game, but I should have trusted my teammates a little more, given them the ball and let the real shooters shoot. There are guys on my team who shoot way better than I do. … It’s the first time our school has ever been here…it’s a great feeling just to be here. It’s more like an honour. I’m disappointed in a way, but proud.” Titan Adam Ward told the New Brunswick Telegraph-Journal that coach Mike Olscamp was “a good guy. He comes down hard but means well. He acts tough but he’s really soft.” Olscamp said “I focus them. I had a couple of guys who wanted to be stars. You don’t win championships that way.’
