In the quarterfinals, the Sackville Tantramar Titans clubbed the Miramichi James M. Hill Tommies 70-39 as Wright scored 23 and Maxwell 21. Seah Hannah led the Tommies with 20. Jason Reynolds added 8. The Tommies also included Brandon Doyle, David McLean, Mike Clark.
The Lawrenceville-Bristol Carleton North Stars crushed the Rothesay Regional Red Hawks 91-49 as Crain scored 32, Blackie 17 and Peterson 11. Alex Doley led the Red Hawks with 17. Justin Downing added 12. The Red Hawks also included Ben Moore, Scott Miller, Jason Haggerty, Brendan O’Brien, Alex Dunn.
The Woodstock Warriors clipped the St. Stephen Spartans 69-52 as Thornton scored 21 and Mace 12. Jason Townes led the Spartans with 20. Bill Walker added 15. The Spartans also included Ryan Sullivan, Kyle Wilson.
In the last quarterfinal, the Sussex Sonics spanked the Perth-Andover Southern Victoria Vikings 95-52 as de Winter scored 18 and Maxwell 14. The Vikings included Joe Hagen, Kendall O’Regan, Eric Hurley, Josh O’Hagan, Mike Briggs.
In the semis, the Sussex Sonics thrashed the Woodstock Warriors 80-60 as Ryan deWinter scored 27 and Colin Swift 20. Adam Thornton paced Woodstock with 26.
In the other semi, the Sackville Tantramar Titans defeated the Bristol Carleton North Stars as Cordell Wright scored 40 and Andrew Maxwell 15. Adam Lovely led the Stars with 14. Jonathan Thomas added 12, Josh Cain 11 and Tyler O’Neill 10.
In the final, the Sackville Tantramar Regional Titans defeated the Sussex Sonics 64-51. Cordell Wright scored 34 and nabbed 13 boards. He was elated to win the title for teammate Andrew Maxwell. “He played here for four years and he didn’t have a title,” Wright told the New Brunswick Telegraph-Journal. “He wears number 45 and this was our 45th win over the year. It worked out perfect.” The Titans trailed 33-28 at the half but kicked into gear in the second half by driving to the bucket. When they weren’t cashing in underneath, they converted free throws. “We played hard, we had a lot of heart and we kept our composure,” said Wright. Maxwell added 15. Justin Polley led the Sonics with 18. Colin Swift added 16.
