In the regional semis and provincial quarterfinals held in Sussex, the Sussex Sonics nipped the Lawrenceville-Bristol Carleton North Stars 78076 as Morris scored 31 and Cooling 17. Wendell Boyd led the Stars with 21. Corey DeMerchant added 15 and Corey Sarchfield 15. The Stars also included Kyle Adams.
In the other regional semi, the Woodstock Thunder spanked the Salisbury JMA Armstrong Cougars 121-68 as Thibodeau scored 24 and Harris 16. Joey Beaubien led the Cougars with 24. Shawn French added 17.
In the regional final and provincial semis, the Woodstock Thunder spanked the Sussex Sonics 77-63 as MacFarlane scored 22 and Tim Mclean 13. Keith led the Sonics with 21. Cooling added 11.
In the regional semis and provincial quarterfinals held in Campbellton, the Campbellton Sugarloaf Bruins clipped the St. George Fundy Mariners 84-76 as Gionet scored 21 and Barnaby 19. Charles Robinson led the Mariners with 26. Stanley Harmond added 19. The Mariners also included Ben Mersereau.
In the other regional semi, the St. Stephen Spartans defeated the Perth-Andover Southern Victoria Vikings 72-64 as Douthwright scored 18 and Zinc 18. Doug Larlee led the Vikings with 18. Jeremy Fournier added 16.
In the regional final and provincial semis, the Campbellton Sugarloaf Bruins whipped the St. Stephen Spartans 75-44 as Gionet scored 25, Robertson 13, Hutchinson 13 and Barnaby 11. MacDonald led the Spartans with 13. Spencer added 12.
In the final, the Woodstock Thunder mauled the Campbellton Sugarloaf Bruins 92-49 as Thibodeau scored 16, player of the game Kennedy 15 and MacFarlane 15. Thunder coach Scott Jones told the Fredericton Daily Gleaner that “it was just a contribution from absolutely everyone. … The players I had out there took control. We played good defence but they had a hard time shooting and we had a hard time missing. When you combine those factors, it doesn’t make for a good scenario for them. It got over in an awful hurry.” The Thunder outrebounded the Bruins 59-22. Robertson led the Bruins with 16. Gionet added 12 and Gerrard 9.
