In the quarterfinals, held in Bristol, the 2nd-seeded Sackville Tantramar Titans whipped the 7th-seeded Saint John St. Malachy’s Memorial Saints 110-70 as McBeth scored 32, Hess 20, Wall 12 and Wood 10. The titans led 58-36 at the half and 15-30 from the line. Lou Bosco led the Saints with 18. Red Raid added 17, Carl Bannister 13 and Brian Adams 11.
The 3rd-seeded St. Stephen Spartans clipped the 6th-seeded Lawrenceville-Bristol Carleton North Stars 6-450 as Estabrooks score 19 and Marven 18.
The top-seeded Campbellton Sugarloaf Bruins dispatched the 8th-seeded Fredericton AA Black Kats 82-69 as Laevski scored 21, Charlong 20 and Sutherland 17. Chris Colpitts led the AA Black Kats with 16. Neill Brown added 12 and Greg Frost 12.
In the last quarterfinal, the 4th-seeded Sussex Sonics defeated the 5th-seeded St. George Fundy Mariners 67-60 as Wasser scored 22, Forsythe 21 and Carhart 18. Glen Vautour led the Mariners with 20. Mark Stewart added 10, John Comeau 10 and Tony Craig 10. The Mariners also included John Eldridge, Charles Dugas.
In the semis, the 2nd-seeded Sackville Tantramar Titans dusted the 3rd-seeded St. Stephen Spartans 77-48 as Macdonald scored 30 and MacBeth 11. The Titans led 26-25 at the half and hit 7-9 from the line. Estabrooks paced the Spartans with 29. The Spartans hit 14-23 from the line.
In the other semi, the top-seeded Campbellton Sugarloaf Bruins torched the 4th-seeded Sussex Sonics 74-45 as Sutherland scored 27, Smith 18 and Charlong 17. Wasser led the Sonics with 14. Forsythe added 11.
In the bronze medal match, the 3rd-seeded St. Stephen Spartans clipped the 4th-seeded Sussex Sonics 60-49 as Marven scored 16, Estabrooks 14 and Cumberland 14. Ron Wasser led the Sonics with 14. Mark Forsythe added 11. The Sonics also included Rick Carhart, Paul Gallant, Tim Hourihan.
In the final, Darren Sears hit a 15-foot jumper with 15 seconds to play to give the 2nd-seeded Sackville Tantramar Titans a 54-53 win over the top-seeded Campbellton Sugarloaf Bruins. Hess led the Titans with 18. MacBeth added 9, macDonald 9 and Sears 6. The Titans hit 4-11 from the line. Laevski led the Bruins with 20. Charlong added 15 and Sutherland 11. The Bruins led 31-30 at the half and hit 5-11 from the line.
