In the quarterfinals, held in Dalhousie, the Perth-Andover Southern Victoria Vikings stomped the Stanley Regional Blue Devils 62-34 as Chase scored 23, MacDonald 13, Jenkins 10, Pickett 6, Saunders 4, Watson 3, Boone 2 and Bishop 1. Michael Joyce paced the Blue Devils with 18. Ralph Humble added 12 and Lynn Waygh 4, while Alton O’Hara, Lynn O’Hara, Edward O’Hara, Royden Jarvis, Eldon Smith, Bud Logan and George Logan were scoreless.
The Centreville Cougars dispatched St. George Eastern Charlotte 70-63 as Paterson scored 25, Hayden 21, Haynes 10, Green 10, Weston 6 and DeLong 2. Harry Doyle led Eastern Charlotte (coach Carl O’Hara) with 29. Charles Farquharson added 20, Dave Wilcox 4, Gerry Hooper 4, Donald Lesly 3 and Manus Collicott 3, while Gary Willcot, Don McKillop, Kendall Dick and Rudy Holland were scoreless.
The Dalhousie Condors clubbed the Port Elgin Pirates 53-37 as Spence scored 13, Williams 12, Smith 9, Appleby 8, McEwen 6, miller 3 and LeBlanc 2. Edward O’Hanley led the Pirates with 18. Ron Pauley added 7, Allen McGlashing 4, Bill Allen 4, George Fury 3 and Anthony Pauley 2, while Peter McEachern, John Coates, James Wheaton and William H Allen were scoreless.
In the last quarterfinal, the Hartland Huskies nipped the Grand Manan Breakers 52-51 as Pratt scored 29, Miler 8, Lavigne 8, Orser 5 and Dickinson 2. Neil Guptill led the Breakers with 14. Gary Guptill added 14, Kerry Guptill 13, Teddy Wilson 6 and Robert Linton 4, while Philip Parker, Barry Munroe, Allison Munroe, Buddy McLaughlin, Churchill Bagley and Russell Small were scoreless.
In the semis, the Dalhousie Condors edged the Hartland Huskies 39-38 as Smith scored 12, Spence 8, Appleby 7, McEwen 5, Williams 4 and Miller 3. Pratt led the Huskies with 20. Orser added 11, Lavigne 4, Dickinson 2 and Miller 1.
