The Trojans trailed early but rallied to take command in the second half. “It wasn’t perfect but we got it done,” despite the squad’s lowest scoring output of the season, coach Sara Gillis told the Thompson Citizen. “The important thing is their score was lower.” Gillis added that Victoria Hollett “played really well,” said Gillis. “For a Grade 10 kid she was really focused. Finleigh Tucker-Titanich had a great second game there against Lorette. All the girls played really well, even the bench when they came on.” Justice Jackson did an excellent job on defence, Gillis added. “Everybody kept their cool and we just kept plugging along. I just felt like we were going to win. We were in the final because we just knew we would be there. I basically just felt in control. It was very exciting. It was pretty fun.” Victoria Hollett was chosen player of the game for the Trojans, while Kate Bancescu earned the laurels for the Golden Bears.
