In the quarterfinals, held in Glenboro, the 3rd-seeded Treherne Tigers defeated the St. Laurent Hawks 81-50. The Hawks (coached by Vicki Leggett) included Renee Gareau, Jennifer Lavallee, Nicole Hegele, Robyn Chartrands, Arielle Chartrand, Kirsten Sigfusson, Jennifer Halldorson and Larissa Chartrand.
The 2nd-seeded Glenboro Panthers crushed the 7th-seeded Sprague Ross L. Gray Raiders 59-36. The Raiders (coached by Darryl Pederson and Ainsley Pederson) included Tiffany Rozsa, Emily Syverson, Rose Cobiness, Jenna JVD, Keely Church, France Cabana, Kelsey Hebel, Stephanie Cisar, Katherine Barrow, Joanna Hovorka, Frannie Hebert-Spence, Alysha Machej and Tyla Eckert.
The top-seeded Grandview Spartans whipped the 8th-seeded Wabowden Mel Johnson Eagles 68-37. The Eagles (coached by Bonnie Becker and Sherri McIvor) included Megan McIvor, Rochelle Head, Alana Mallett, Jenna Fourre, Amy Jonasson, Devon Bayer, Kendra McIvor and Amber McIvor.
In the last quarterfinal, the 4th-seeded Elm Creek Cobras whipped the 5th-seeded Hamiota Huskies 54-35 as Holly Schroeder and Alli Kroeker each scored 18. The Huskies (coached by Mark Madsen, assisted by Kelly Madsen) included Alyssa Burr, Kelsey Bell, Chelsey Chupka, Christine Robertson, Jessica Heise, Jenna Hawkins, Christina Maitland, Alison Webber, Kelly Thomson and Angela Miller.
In the semis, the 3rd-seeded Treherne Tigers edged the 2nd-seeded Glenboro Panthers 44-40.
In the other semi, the top-seeded Grandview Spartans whipped the 4th-seeded Elm Creek Cobras 46-22. Amber St. Goddard paced the Cobras with 8.
In the bronze medal match, the 2nd-seeded Glenboro Panthers stomped the 4th-seeded Elm Creek Cobras 59-33. Holly Schroder paced the Cobras with 13. “We only had a one-game break after a tough win (54- 35 over the Hamiota Huskies),” Cobras coach James Ballantyne told the Portage La Prairie Central Plains Leader. “We stayed with Grandview and Glenboro for a quarter and a half, but then they pulled away from us later in the second part of the second quarter.” The Cobras (coached by James Ballantyne) also included Tamara Wall, Jaclyn Schmidt, Amber St. Goddard, Alli Kroeker, Jenny Schmidt, Jessica Penner, Bailee Thomaschewski, Carley Schmidt and Danielle Froese.
In the final, the top-seeded Grandview Spartans clipped the 3rd-seeded Treherne Tigers 61-49.
