In the quarterfinals, held in Treherne, the top-seeded Treherne Tigers smacked the 8th-seeded Gillam Timberwolves 88-31.

        The 4th-seeded Deloraine Colts nipped the 5th-seeded Dauphin Western Christian Mustangs 35-34. “It was right down to the wire,” Mustangs coach Lad Kirkpatrick told the Dauphin Herald. “We led after the first quarter and at the half then they were in the lead pretty much all of the third and fourth quarters.” Laurel Kilpatrick paced the Mustangs with 15. Jolie Toews added 8. It marked the first time that Western Christian had made it to a provincial tournament since the school had moved to Dauphin from Manitoba, the first time since 1982 that it had qualified for a provincial draw.
