In the quarterfinals, held in Landmark, the top-seeded Hamiota Huskies stomped the Grand Rapids Wolverines 96-35 as Tara Dale scored 24.
The 2nd-seeded Treherne Tigers whipped the 7th-seeded host Landmark 96ers 68-45. The 96ers included Danielle Barkman, Gaylene Penner, Christine Plett, Nancy Goertzen, Melanie Cruikshank, Doreen Janz.
The 3rd-seeded Pilot Mount Pilots dusted the 6th-seeded Pinawa Panthers 69-52.
In the last quarterfinal, the 4th-seeded St. Laurent Hawks nipped the 5th-seeded Grandview Spartans 39-37. The Spartans (coached by Marc Giasson) included Elizabeth Stadnyk, Keri Brasch.
In the semis, the top-seeded Hamiota Huskies dusted the 4th-seeded St. Laurent Hawks 86-35 as Tara Dale scored 22.
In the other semi, the 2nd-seeded Treherne Tigers clipped the 3rd-seeded Pilot Mound Pilots 73-60.
In the bronze medal match, the 3rd-seeded Pilot Mount Pilots stomped the 4th-seeded St. Laurent Hawks 72-42. The Hawks included Vicki Lambert.
In the final, the 2nd-seeded Treherne Tigers defeated the top-seeded Hamiota Huskies 57-53 to capture their first provincial title. Hamiota was missing three starters, while their two other regular starters fouled out in the third quarter. Teresa Bock paced the Tigers with 16. Carolyn Hoger added 15. Tournament MVP Jodi Desrochers and Stacie Wilson each scored 16 to pace the Huskies.
