In the opening round, held in Hamiota, the Lac Du Bonnet Chargers clipped the Ste. Rose Celtics 42-31 as Gale Osterman, Patricia Sellers and Wendy Bruchanski led all scorers.

In the quarterfinals, the Souris Sabres defeated the Shoal Lake Sharks 71-37 as Rhonda Denbow scored 25 and Karen Kurtenbach 17. The Sabres led 27-11 at the half. Melissa Stebnicki and Tammy Chegwin each scored 13 to pace the Sharks. The Sharks also included Glenda Preston, Karri Bennett, Sheila Nychuk.

The Lac Du Bonnet Chargers defeated the Rosenort Red Hawks 51-44. Wendy Bruchanski scored 12 in the third quarter.

The Shilo Panthers defeated the Arborg Senators 64-29.

The Hamiota Huskies dusted the Winnipeg Balmoral Hall Blazers 50-23 as Sandra Cochran scored 24 and Donna Brown 11, Seaneen McNaught 4, Melanie Kirk 2, Karma Kidd 2, Shawna Hunt 2, Cindy Prawdzik 2 and Carmen Andrew 2. The Huskies led 10-0, 22-4 and 44-14 at the quarters. Kim Fyles led the Blazers with 9. The Blazers also included J Crozier, Nancy Brown, Gray, Cyndy Barber, Jo-Ann Antoniuk, J Nishikawa, Susan Ellis and Andrea Osborne.

        In the semis, the Souris Sabres defeated the Shilo Panthers 52-42.

        In the other semi, the Lac du Bonnet Chargers stunned the 2nd-seeded Hamiota Huskies 30-25. The Huskies led 8-6 after one quarter. The Chargers led 18-9 at the half after ripping off a 12-1 run, and 26-17 after three quarters. Donna Brown led the Huskies with 10. Cindy Prawdzik added 4, Sandra Cochran 4, Melanie Kirk 2, Karma Kidd 2 and Shauna Hunt 2.

        In the bronze medal match, the Hamiota Huskies defeated the Shilo Panthers 49-48 in overtime as Donna Brown hit a jumper from the top of the key with 3 seconds to play. The Huskies led 30-20 at the half. The score was knotted at 45 after regulation. Donna Brown led the Huskies with 20. Sandra Cochran added 11, Melanie Kirk 6 and Cindy Prawdzik 6.

        In the final, the Souris Sabres thrashed the Lac Du Bonnet Chargers 52-34 as Rhonda Denbow scored 18 and Karen Kurtenbach 14. Patricia Sellers led the Chargers with 12. The Chargers led 20-19 at the half, while Denbow had the answers whenever the Chargers threatened in the second half.
