In the quarterfinals, the Steinbach Christian (then Steinbach Bible Institute) Flames defeated the Elie St. Paul’s Barons 51-41. The Flames led 28-18 after one quarter. Garth Doerksen paced the Flames with 22. Dave Dueck added 13 and Mark Kornelson 10.

The Winnipeg Joseph Wolinsky Raiders defeated the Gilbert Plains Trojans 88-53 as Dan Rand scored 17 and David Dalen 15. Rick Czarnecki led the Trojans with 20. Gord Hamilton added 12. The Trojans also included A Battad, Terry Tabak, Alvin Dykun.

The Shilo Panthers dumped the Wawanesa Warriors 63-55.

In the last quarterfinal, the Manitou Nellie McClung Tigers nipped the Arborg Athletics 47-43. The Athletics included Glenn Finnson.

In the semis, the Steinbach Christian Flames defeated the Manitou Nellie McClung Tigers 48-34 after leading 25-18 at the half and 36-27 after three quarters. Garth Doerkson paced the Flames with 19. Mark Kornelson added 14 and Dave Dueck 8.

In the other semi, the Winnipeg Joseph Wolinsky Raiders defeated the Shilo Panthers 52-42.

In the bronze medal match, the Manitou Nellie McClung Tigers defeated the Shilo Panthers 62-59. The Panthers included Brian Ferguson.

        In the final, the Steinbach Christian Flames defeated the Winnipeg Joseph Wolinsky Raiders 56-52. The Flames led 13-11 after one quarter and 35-28 at the half. The score was knotted at 42 after three quarters. Dave Dueck paced the Flames with 22. Garth Doerksen added 19 and Mark Kornelson 12.
