In the semis, top-seeded Winnipeg Oak Park Raiders defeated the 4th-seeded Winnipeg Vincent Massey Trojans 51-48. The Raiders rallied from a 14-point third quarter deficit to pull out the win. The Trojans lad led 27-20 at the half and 35-21 with four minutes to play in the third quarter. But the Raiders trimmed the margin to two after three quarters. “We worked so hard all year, and to have it come down to a comeback like that. It’s just great for our team,” Oak Park’s Jennifer Parisian, who scored 24, including 6 treys and was named player of the game, told the Winnipeg Free Press. “I hit one (trey) in our last game. I had nothing to lose (today) so I went for it.” Raiders coach Murray Brown was confident his troops could rally from the deficit. “They showed a lot of guts, made some big baskets and played tough defence. These guys have done it all year long. We’ve been able to dig our way out (in the past) and we did that today.” Cara Braun scored 10 for the Trojans despite having torn an ACL weeks earlier. “The doctors suggested not playing, but they said if you want to go ahead and give it a try,” she said.

In the other semi, the 2nd-seeded Winnipeg Glenlawn Lions defeated the 3rd-seeded Winnipeg Dakota Lancers 44-31 after leading 18-15 at the half and take command in the second frame. Vanja Drobic led the Lions with 19 while being chosen player of the game. Leanne Turner earned the laurels for the Lancers after scoring 7.

In the final, the Winnipeg Oak Park Raiders defeated the Winnipeg Glenlawn Lions 50-39 as Andrea Wilkie and Jennifer Parisian each scored 12. Oak Park nearly squandered an 11-point second half lead but elevated its defensive intensity down the stretch to win going away. “I’m stunned right now,” Raiders coach Murray Brown told the Winnipeg Free Press. “I look at these kids and it’s so much fun to watch them celebrating like this.” Brown lauded the team’s defensive effort, particularly that of Shannon Yeroschak. “This was probably our best defensive game of the year. Any time we had a player get beat we had people collapsing (to the hole) and helping out.” Vanja Drobic, who led Glenlawn with 20, said “their defence was fabulous. You hope to win, so if you don’t it’s disappointing, but I thought we played really good.”
