River East coach Jaenas Pangilinan told the Winnipeg Free Press that his team clearly heard the whistle and stopped their play accordingly. “The other team just kept going, scored the layup. What should have happened is the ref should have stopped the play and have an inbound play. I’m just so out of words right now, I’m sorry.” O’Neil said “we knew it was going to be a tough game going in and now that it’s over, there’s no doubt it was one of our toughest games this year.”
