In the quarterfinals, the Winnipeg Vincent Massey Trojanettes defeated the Winnipeg Sisler Spartans 37-18 as Teri Pura scored 10, Sandra Carter 8 and Shirley Hurst 7. The Spartans (coached by Mrs. Fraser) included Lorelee Harris, Barb Tworek, Lynne Spryszak, Teresa Zelinski, Linda Harris, Sandy Pondo, Tracy Tynes, Judy Pascoe and Karne MacRae.

        The Winnipeg Westwood Warriors clipped the Winnipeg Springfield Sabres 52-42 as Loo Beckman scored 22. The Sabres included Wendy Jackson, Edie Clarke, Betty Ann Taylor, Barbara Rivers.

The St. Norbert Celtics dispatched the Winnipeg Grant Park Pirates 47-41 as Tanis Lukiw scored 14 and Dinah Oosterveen 10. Arlene Fingold led the Pirates with 20. Gail Winston added 10. The Pirates (coached by Jack Hunt, manager Sam Barlin) also included Debbie Baust, Cathy Mills, Sari Saifer, Marg Johnson, Aline Panman, Jane Edstrom, Kathy Pennycook.

        In the last quarterfinal, the Brandon Vincent Massey Vikings thrashed the Winnipeg River East Kodiaks 40-6 as Sharon Lukiw scored 10, Anne Thompson 8 and Nancy Sharratt 7. Carla Gould led the Kodiaks with 4. Janet Bissett added 2. The Kodiaks also included Topolniski.

In the semis, the Winnipeg Vincent Massey Trojans defeated the Winnipeg Westwood Warriors 46-26.

In the other semi, the Brandon Vincent Massey Vikings defeated the St. Norbert Celtics 49-31 after leading 23-15 at the half. Sharon Lukiw paced the Vikings with 26. “We played a great game,” Vikings coach Stew Farnell told the Brandon Sun. “Lukie and [Joanne] Dixon played super.”

In the bronze medal match, the St. Norbert Celtics dumped the Winnipeg Westwood Warriors 58-48 as Coke Olivier scored 23. The Warriors included Brenda Lunsford, Brenda Marchylo, Diane Vickery.

        In the battle of Vincent Masseys final, Fort Garry defeated Brandon 31-28 as Shirley Hurst scored 12, including 10 in the first half. Sandra Carter added 9, Teri Pura 8 and Hart 2, while Jane Randalls was scoreless. The Vikings were led by Joanne Dixon’s 8 points. Sharon Lukiw added 8, Anne Thompson 4, McPhail 4, Val Meyers 4, while Charette was scoreless. The Trojans finished (30-4) on the season. The Vikings captured silver at the both the A and B levels.
