In the quarterfinals, the Winnipeg Silver Heights Huskies defeated the Suburban conference champs Winnipeg Springfield Sabres 38-33 as Lesley Hamerton scored 12, Paula Peters 10 and Val Sturtridge 10. Theresa Gaulka led the Sabres with 12. Margaret Tosikowski added 7. The Sabres (coached by Wally Chubaty, assisted by C.J. Yeo) also included Cathy Kork, Frances Niecharz, Diane Galka, Doreen Schreyer and Gloria Santag.

        The Winnipeg Dakota Lancers clubbed the Winnipeg Miles Macdonnell Buckeyes 35-21 as Roberta Hutchison scored 11 and Janice Riel 11. The Buckeyes included Bonnie Burron, M Leschuk.

        The Hamiota Huskies nipped the Brandon Vincent Massey Vikings 27-25 after leading 12-10 at the half. Glenda Kirk led the Huskies with 9. Garda Williams added 8, B Mundell 4, K Anderson 3, D McConnell 2 and H Murray 1. Joanne Kemp led the Vikings with 8. Jan Lowry added 5, Sylvia Olynick 3, Judy Purse 3, Heather Rennick 3, Bev White 2 and Edith Miller 1. The Vikings (coached by Barry Diller, assisted by Dick McIntyre) also included Dana Rungay, Allison Parkhurst.

        In the last quarterfinal, the Winnipeg Miami Marlins crushed the Portage la Prairie Arthur Meighen Collegiate Pats 30-19 as Bev Spenst scored 10 and Leona Duvyst 7. The Pats included Judy McIvor.

In the semis, the Winnipeg Silver Heights Huskies defeated the Winnipeg Miami Collegiate Marlins 36-26 as Lesley Hamerton scored 17 and Paula Peters 7. Myrna Follett paced the Marlins with 15. Bev Spenst added 7.

In the other semi, the Winnipeg Dakota Lancers defeated the Hamiota Huskies 38-25 as Roberta Hutchinson scored 12, Janice Reil 12 and Diane Theberge 9. Terry McLean led the Huskies with 10.

In the bronze medal match, the Winnipeg Miami Collegiate Marlins edged the Hamiota Huskies 34-31 as Myrna Follett scored 12 and Leona DeVuyst 8. Glenda Kirk led the Huskies with 13. The Huskies also included Garda Williams, Bonnie Mundell, Karen Anderson, Dawn McConnell, Heather Murray, Terry McLaren, Lynn Woods, Maxine Fraser, Lynda Johnson and Mary Clark.

        In the final, the Winnipeg Silver Heights Huskies defeated pre-tourney favorite Winnipeg Dakota Lancers 36-26 as Lesley Hamerton scored 17. The Lancers were paced by Janice Reil’s 10 points.
