The Pats (coached by Ralph Rowley) included Mary Nicholson, Marlene Cail, Arlene Owens, Linda Fairfield, Betty Meikle, Joyce King, Donna Williams, Pat Prior, Sandra Owens, Denyse Muir, Beverley Bell and Aldyne Prior.
The Winnipeg Glenlawn Lions crushed the Neepawa Tigers 52-12 as Ileane Mousseau scored 28. The Tigers included Maxine English, Gwen Thomson, Janet Richards, Penny Verhoeven, Mariana Betz, Pat Wiseman, Edna Whitmore, Shewfelt.
The Winnipeg Kelvin Clippers dumped the Dauphin Clippers 49-29. Dauphin (coached Walter Dowd) included Olive Ringstrom, June McMillen, Emily Marcynishen, Gail Gowanluck, Sally Cameron, Janice Bradley, Holly Rudy, Irene Attwood, Elaine Merrell and Adeline Borys.
In the last quarterfinal, Brandon St. Michael’s Academy crushed the Morris Red Hawks 50-6. The Red Hawks included Sheliah Cootes.
In the semis, the Flin Flon Hapnot Kopper Kweens clocked the Winnipeg Kelvin Clippers 45-25 as Claudine Perras scored 18 and Martha McKenzie 13. Bev Keely led the Clippers with 8.
In the other semi, the Winnipeg Glenlawn Lions edged Brandon St. Michael’s Academy 35-31 as Edith Malyk scored 13 and Ileone Mousseau 11. Joan Balmer led St. Michael’s with 14.
In the final, the Flin Flon Hapnot Kopper Kweens dispatched the Winnipeg Glenlawn Lions 43-37. The score was knotted at 18 at the half. Claudine Perras paced the Kopper Kweens with 15. Martha MacKenzie added 15, Jackie Masson 12 and Gay Bogash 1, while Mryt Strand, Bonnie Mahan, Gail Lockhart, Marg Gillespie, Bonnie Holdaway and Monica Vickery were scoreless. Ileane Mousseau paced the Lions with 24. Barbara Johnson added 7, Edith Malyk 3, Wilma Howe 2 and Hawn 1, while Kelly, Toyne, Beswatherick, Baker and Evans were scoreless.
