The Winnipeg Glenlawn Lions clocked the Dauphin Clippers 28-18. The Clippers included Colleen Burr.
The Winnipeg Kelvin Clippers nipped Brandon St. Michael’s Academy 33-32 in overtime. St. Michael’s included Joan Palmer, Joan Atcheson.
In the last quarterfinal, the Brandon Vincent Massey Vikings (then the Brandon Collegiate Blues) dumped the Rivers Brooke Rams 18-10.
In the semis, the Flin Flon Hapnot Kopper Kweens stomped the Brandon Vincent Massey Vikings 43-10 as Martha McKenzie scored 8, Darlene Menzies 7 and Jackie Masson 7. Anne Bullied led the Vikings with 5.
In the other semi, the Winnipeg Kelvin Clippers edged the Winnipeg Glenlawn Lions 18-17 as Pat Wright scored 8 and Shirley Putee 5. Judy Bjarnason led the Lions with 7. Sharon Hewitson added 4.
In the final, the Flin Flon Hapnot Kopper Kweens defeated the Winnipeg Kelvin Clippers 41-34 as Jackie Masson scored 11. Norma Duncan added 10 and Martha McKenzie 10. The Kopper Kweens led 9-3 after one quarter and 2-14 at the half. The score was knotted at 26 after three quarters. Shirley Puttee, Marilyn Abram and Pat Wright each scored 6 to lead the Clippers.
