In the quarterfinals, the Winnipeg St. John’s Tech Tigers smacked the Brandon Collegiate Blues 59-23. Craddock led the blues with 11. Roney added 6, McKenzie 2, Warruch 2, Hunter 2 and McKay 1, while Bass, West and Newman were scoreless.
In the provincial semis and Winnipeg final, the St. John’s Tech Tigers clocked the United College (affiliated with the U of Manitoba) 41-23 after leading 17-8 at the half. Dick Bevin paced the Tigers with 12. Paul Granovsky added 9, Gord Johnson 7, Brisky 4, Berger 3, Frame 3, Budnick 2 and Rypp 1, while Brower, Lampe and Symonovitch were scoreless. Feldman led United with 6. Duncan added 5, Cockburn 4, Schulman 4, Wade 3 and McHugh 1, while Fyles, Ratiany, Ewanchuk, Miller, McIvar, Young and Nuggart were scoreless.
In the other semis, the Flin Flon Kopper Kings stomped the Dauphin Clippers 61-10. The Clippers included Thomson, Coppell, McMurray, Oliphant, Roman, Thomlinson, Bates, Thomas, Stokotelny, Lesyshen.
In the final, the Winnipeg St. John’s Tech Tigers clocked the Flin Flon Hapnot Kopper Kings 35-22 as Paul Granovsky scored 11, Brisky 6, Gord Johnson 6, Morley Rypp 4, Richard Bevin 4, Brower 2 and Berger 2, while Bennick, Frame and Symonovich were scoreless. The Tigers led 11-9 at the half. Lawrence Hudon paced the Kopper Kings with 8. Louis Floch added 6, Norman Anderson 3, Gary Last 2, Frankie Scheider 2 and Carl Anderson 1, while Nemo Rheaume, Don Randall, Butch Randall, Bob Lalonde and Vern Barr were scoreless.
