In the suburban final, Norwood pounded Selkirk Devonshire 33-12 as Cas Vidruk scored 11, Bob Stephen 8, Bob Hansford 6, Bill Armstrong 3, Alan Grant 2 and Doug Powrie 2, while Frank Eastwood, Jack Warwick, Fred McVarish and Bill Halstead were scoreless. Norwood was coached by Ian Woolley and managed by R.V. Shearer. Gord Watterman paced Devonshire with 4. In the provincial finals, the Winnipeg St. Paul’s Crusaders captured their second consecutive title by defeating the Winnipeg Daniel McIntyre Maroons 24-18; 25-20 (2g-0).
In game one, the Crusaders clipped the Maroons 24-18 after leading 17-7 at the half. Al Commer led the Crusaders with 8.
