In the interzone playoffs, the zone 12 champ Winnipeg Westgate Knights clubbed the zone 13 champ Steinbach Sabres 77-44 as Bert Toews scored 31. Merv Voth led the Sabres with 19. The Sabres also included Gus Giesbrecht, Lenard Van de Meer, Mike Fuellbrandt.

In the quarterfinals, held in Killarney, the 4th-seeded Dauphin Clippers crushed the 5th-seeded host Killarney Raiders 81-61 as Kelly Albert scored 17 and Brent Harrison 16. The Raiders (coached by Bruce Lyons) included Scott Beattie, Kevin Scott, Perry Au, Darren Boak, Chris Hicks.

The top-seeded Winnipeg Westgate Knights stomped the 8th-seeded Virden Golden Bears 88-56. The Golden Bears included Kelly Stewart, Craig Laurson, Lorne Williams.

The 6th-seeded Thompson R.D. Parker Trojans clipped the 3rd-seeded Neepawa Tigers 79-63. The Tigers (coached by Eugene Todd) included Bryan Gray, Darren Roe, Allan Sneezby.

In the last quarterfinal, the 2nd-seeded Morden Mohawks dispatched the 7th-seeded Gimli Lakers x-x. The Lakers included Jerry Litwin, Dan Petrowski, John Sutton.

        In the semis, the Morden Mohawks defeated the Thompson R.D. Parker Trojans 64-53.

In the other semi, the 4th-seeded Dauphin Clippers defeated the top-seeded Winnipeg Westgate Mennonite Knights 63-57 as Kelly Albert scored 19, Brent Harrison 13 and Karl Harvie 12.

In the bronze medal match, the top-seeded Winnipeg Westgate Knights defeated the Thompson R.D. Parker Trojans 56-31. The Trojans (coached by Eric Overall) included Duane Laroque.

        In the final, the Morden Mohawks slaughtered the 4th-seeded Dauphin Clippers 76-54 as Dwight Martens scored 29 and Greg Friesen 19. Kelly Albert led Dauphin with 18. Morden led 49-24 at the half. “We peaked one game too soon,” Clippers coach Tom Schmidt told the Dauphin Herald. The semi “took too much out of us. We couldn’t put the ball through the hole and the whole offence was lacking.” The Clippers finished (19-4) on the season.
