        In the semis, the Salmon Arm Jewels nipped the Nanaimo District Islanders 21-19 as Turner scored 6, Bowers 5, McDonald 3, Nancy Jamieson 3, Cummings 2, Joanne Sargeant 1 and Laitres 1, while Raymond and Hoof were scoreless. Anna Heckel led the Islanders with 9. In the final, the Salmon Arm Jewels defeated the Penticton Lakettes 27-20 as Nancy Jamieson scored 9, Bowers 7, Gaye Cummings 4, Pat Turner 4 and Raymond 2, while Mcdonald, Joanne Sargeant, Laitres and Hoof were scoreless. Jewels coach Al Bianco told the Vancouver Sun “my players have come through the farm system, which starts the girls playing organized basketball in their early teens. All but three of my players have been together since grade eight and they worked like a machine.” The Jewels led 20-11 at the half and 24-12 after three quarters. Judy Douglas led the Lakettes with 15. Haffield added 2, Parker 2 and Janet Douglas 1, while Strang, King, Nickolson, Swales, Pentland and Kanester were scoreless.
