The title, for the first time, went to a team from Vancouver Island, the Victoria High Totems, coached by George Andrews and led by Dave Black, Barry Sadler, Dave Nelson and Darrell Lorimer. Knocked unconscious in the first half, Lorimer talked coach Porky Andrews into letting him back in the game and he led the Totems past the Vancouver Island rival Courtenay Towhees 49-26. The Totems led 10-5, 26-14 and 38-19 at the quarters. Darrell Lorimer led the Totems with 17. Dave Black added 12, Dave Nelson 9, Bill Hobbis 5, Barry Saddler 5, Robin Barnes 3 and tom Wyatt 3, while Tom Collett, Keith Hart and John Balloch were scoreless.
