        In the quarterfinals, the Prince George O’Grady Catholic Totems dusted the Victoria St. Andrews Regional Catholic Sabres 74-58 as Dan Kelly scored 24 and Jordan Yu 16. The Sabres included Matt King.

        The Abbotsford St. Jean Brebeuf Bears clocked the Kelowna Christian Knights 97-62 as Peter Wauthy scored 30 and Matt Lowey 17. The Knights included Brian Banman.

        The Victoria Pacific Academy Christian Pacers dispatched the Smithers Bulkley Valley Christian Royals 80-63. The Royals (coached by Chris Steenhof) included Aaron Van Gelder, Travis Koopmans.

        In the last quarterfinal, the Langley Christian Lightning defeated the Vancouver St. Patrick’s Celtics 70-64. The Celtics included Michael Whitehead, Paulo Sanchez.

        In the semis, the Prince George O’Grady Catholic Totems whipped Abbotsford St. Jean Brebeuf Bears 66-49 as Jordan Yu scored 22. Ryan Samis was chosen player of the game for the Totems. Aidan Kelly paced the Bears with 11. Peter Wauthy added 10 and Josh Wauthy 10.

        In the other semi, the top-seeded Victoria Pacific Academy Christian Pacers dispatched the Langley Christian Lightning 61-57.

        In the bronze medal match, the Abbotsford St. Jean Brebeuf Bears clipped the Langley Christian Lightning 101-82 as Aidan Kelly scored 22, Peter Wauthy 21 and Josh Wauthy 17. Bears coach Darren McCormack told the Langley Advance that “the boys played to the best of their ability, leaving nothing on the floor and every one was pleased with the result.” The Lightning (coached by Darcy Langelaar) included Nathan Van Huizen, David Lammers, Ben Krieg and Chris Troelstra (who blew out his knee in the semis).

In the final, the Prince George O’Grady Catholic Totems thrashed the Victoria Pacific Academy Christian Pacers 61-44. Totems coach John Macdonald saw his brother Al win the A girls BC title with the Cedars Christian Eagles. “It was a great day for the MacDonalds,” John Macdonald told the Prince George Citizen. “We all cheered each other’s teams on and then went out for dinner to celebrate. That’s what sports is all about.” MacDonald told the Prince George Free Press that “we held them to just seven points in the final quarter. We played great defence all tournament. We didn’t have a great offensive tournament but our defence held us in there. … We didn’t shoot very well but it’s pretty tough to miss layups. We were getting a lot of easy layups off fast breaks.” Tournament MVP Jordan Yu paced the Totems with 20. Dan Kelly added 17 and James Kelly 9. “We just played unbelievable defence and we weren’t in any foul trouble,” MacDonald said.
