The Keremeos Silmilkameen Sparks stomped the Chetwynd Cavaliers 70-32.

The Victoria Pacific Christian Pacers clipped the Prince George O’Grady Catholic Totems 67-59.

In the last quarterfinal, the Surrey Pacific Academy Breakers clubbed the Fort St. James Falcons 74-55 as Mike Voros scored 32 and Justin Baerg 19.

In the semis, the Prince George Westside Academy Warriors defeated the Surrey Pacific Academy Breakers 65-60. Mike Voros paced the Breakers with 12. Justin Baerg added 12 and Brad Bates 12. Breakers coach Earl Beugelink told the Surrey Leader that “we gave up a 10-2 run to start the second half, after finishing the first half tied 35-35. That was the difference. We got to within five in the last five minutes but we couldn’t recover against a quality team.”

In the other semi, the Keremeos Similkameen Sparks spanked the Victoria Pacific Christian Pacers 84-69. Brent Reems led the Pacers with 36.

In the bronze medal match, the Victoria Pacific Christian Pacers nipped the Surrey Pacific Academy Breakers 64-62. Jerome Vanderwulf led the Breakers with 18. Justin Baerg added 15. Breakers coach Earl Beugelink told the Surrey leader that “neither team seemed interested until the fourth quarter. We had the ball with nine secons left but turned it over under some heavy pressure.”

In the final, Prince George Westside Academy Warriors defeated the Keremeos Silmilkameen Sparks 74-70 as Mark Johnson scored 24 and Roy Anderson 22. Johnson told the Prince George Free Press that “it feels like a lot of hard work has paid off. Our goal has been to win the provincials for two years now. Being in the finals, last year and losing it helped us in this game. We knew what to expect with the crowd and the pressure. We also knew the feeling we had last year and we didn’t want to feel it again. It took us until right now to forget it.” Anderson, who hit two clutch free throws with three seconds to play to ice it said “this is unbelievable. I can’t explain it. We’ve been working two years for this goal. Everything came together. This is a dream season. I’ll never forget this team and never forget this championship.” Warriors coach Darrel Dimler said “it’s awesome. I’ve had some of these kids since they were minor-leaguers. These kids are awesome. They did it.”
