The Sabres kept their composure and knotted the score at 47 after three quarters and then Leanna Gildersleeve took total command. She hit a trey from the wing and scored 11 points in the final frame en route to her 23-point night. Jessica Mulock added 11 for the Sabres. Eric Beckett led College Heights with 26. Ashley Heit added 12.

        The Victoria St. Michaels Blue Jaguars edged the Victoria Lambrick Park Lions 52-46 to avenge a loss in their zone finals. The Jaguars trailed 33-20 at the half but rallied in the final quarter. Kelsey Anonsen had hit a trey to knot the score at 46, but Sarah Adair hit a pair of free throws to give the Jaguars the lead again as they iced the upset. Lauren Kerr led St. Michaels with 20, including 18 in the second half. Adair added 13. Anonsen paced Lambrick Park with 13. Kymber Gale scored 16 and Courtenay Logan 12.

        The Prince George D.P. Todd Trojanettes clipped the Kamloops Sa-Hali Sabres 74-63 by double-teaming Sabres star Meghan Knowles and containing her to 32 points. D.P. Todd led 22-8 after one quarter and maintained a double-digit lead til the final buzzer. Lisa Denault paced the Trojans with 16, including five from beyond the arc, part of an 8-1 advantage that the Trojans had from the three-point line. Jessica Freimuller scored 6 in the first quarter to ignite the Trojan offence. Amanda Frayne added 16 for the Sabres.

        In the last quarterfinal, the Vancouver York House Tigers defeated the Vernon Clarence Fulton Maroons 59-52 after leading 19-9, 24-22 and 38-36 at the quarters. Robyn Fashler scored 13 in the final quarter and all 19 of her points in the second half to pace the victory. Jennifer Kalil added 8 and Eleni Balomenos 10. Jen Bridgeman led Vernon with 23. Kylah Lloyd added 14.

        In the semi-finals, the top-seed North Vancouver Sutherland Sabres dumped the Prince George D.P. Todd Trojanettes 61-52 after taking a 23-12 lead after one quarter and a 33-30 lead at the half. D.P. Todd’s hopes were sunk when Jennifer Clyne fouled out in the final quarter. Leanna Gildersleeve led the Sabres with 20, while 6-0 center Suzanne Wilson scored 15. Clyne finished with 13 for the Trojans. Paige Tschampa added 12.

        In the other semi, the Vancouver York House Tigers clipped the Victoria St. Michaels Blue Jaguars 57-37 after steaming to a 20-3 lead after one quarter. The Jaguars never got closer than 10. Stephanie Scott paced York House with 15 points, including three treys in the first quarter and two more in the second. Robyn Fashler added 10 points. Sarah Adair paced the Blue Jaguars with 11.

        In the bronze medal match, the Victoria St. Michaels Blue Jaguars nipped the Prince George D.P. Todd Trojans 60-58 as Sarah Adair scored 14, including 9 in the first quarter.         In the final, the Vancouver York House Tigers upset top-seeded North Vancouver Sutherland 65-53 to earn their fifth consecutive provincial crown and avenge a loss in the Lower Mainland playoffs. The Tigers depth and penetration dribbles broke down Sutherland. The Tigers held Sutherland without a field goal for five minutes in the third quarter as they built a 47-38 lead.
