The Aldergrove Totems stomped the Vanderhoof Nechako Valley Viqueens 55-26 as Carolyn Lucy scored 26. Elda Nefat led the Viqueens with 10. “They threw a half-court press at us and we didn’t have any guards that could get the ball up court,” Viqueens coach Doug Harshbarger told the Prince George Citizen. “We just couldn’t handle the press and we got eaten up.” The Viqueens also included Shirley Brophy.

In the last quarterfinal, the Esquimalt Dockers edged the 3rd-seeded Prince George Duchess Park Condorettes 42-40 as Sue Portlock scored 13. Kathy Bourque led the Condors with 16. Sandy Boughey added 12. “We just didn’t play to our potential,” Condorettes coach Rod Sauve told the Prince George Citizen. “They had a tall guard that we knew we had to stop and she hurt us. They had three players over 5-10, including that guard and we didn’t rebound well against them. Plus, we never got one fast break, which is a big part of our game.” The Condorettes also included Kathy Bourque, Louise Ullstrom.

In the semis, the Kamloops Brocklehurst Broncs defeated the Esquimalt Dockers 50-37.

In the other semi, the Enderby A.L. Fortune Falcons defeated the Aldergrove Totems 37-34.

In the bronze medal match, the Aldergrove Totems defeated the Esquimalt Dockers 58-33 as Carolyn Lucy scored 18. LeAnne Chouinard led the Dockers with 10. The Dockers also included Vicky Ironstand.

        The first ever all-Okanagan final saw the Kamloops Brocklehurst Broncs defeat the Enderby A.L. Fortune 32-30. Candace Archibald scored 12 points to lead Brocklehurst past A.L. Fortune, which had led 18-15 at the half. Tourney MVP Marcy Presley scored 15 for the Enderby squad. Brocklehurst raced out to a 14-2 lead over Enderby, but Enderby chipped away and cut into the lead, but came up just short as the Broncs were victorious 32-20 in a great defensive struggle.
