In the last quarterfinal, the Armstrong Pleasant Valley Saints clipped the Masset George Mercer Dawson Thunder 57-45. The Thunder included Brenda Abbott, Ronda Abbott.
In the semis, the Armstrong Pleasant Valley Saints stomped the Revelstoke Avalanche 68-49.
In the other semi, the Vancouver Little Flower Academy Angels dispatched the North Vancouver St. Thomas Aquinas Fighting Saints 60-59. The Angles took a 15-point lead in the second quarter but the Fighting Saints rallied to take the lead by pounding the ball inside to Shannon and Tara Senft. The Angels pulled out the win on a steal by Corrin Zajac, a bucket by Joyce Adam and two free throws from Brenda Hospedales.
In the bronze medal match, the North Vancouver St. Thomas Aquinas Fighting Saints defeated the Revelstoke Avalanche 74-62 as sisters Shannon and Tara Senft scored a combined 31. Leanne Pratico led the Avalanche with 18. Norma Wick added 10. The Avalanche also include Sandy Schroeder.
In the final, the Armstrong Pleasant Valley Saints defeated Vancouver Little Flower Academy Angels 48-44 as post and tournament MVP Sara Enoch scored 21 and Heidi Schoenberger 13. The Angels led 16-10 after one quarter and by six at the half. But the Saints quickly knotted the score in the third quarter and took the lead on a series of buckets by Schoenberger. Saints coach Tony Walcott told the Peninsula Times that “we handled the press well and we were able to get the ball to Sara. It was a very even game; I don’t feel there was any turning point. We beat LFA by 10 points in January and they’ve been getting ready for us ever since. I’m glad we were able to beat them again.” Suzanne Miscisco paced the Angels with 13. Joyce Adam added 10.
