Then-called the ‘A’ tournament, the AA division was launched in Salmon Arm in 1973 with teams representing seven provincial zones and host Salmon Arm entering its “second team.” The seeds were (1) Salmon Arm-2, (2) Lillooet, (3) Chase, (4) Pemberton, (5) Houston.
Reported results are incoherent. They included Pemberton tying Fernie 24-24.
Pemberton defeated Salmo 38-32.

The Lillooet Baronettes defeated the Pemberton Red Devils 46-28. The Red Devils (coach Chumbley, manager Donna Guthrie) included Nancy Harris, Susan Sankey, Sandra Rivett, Doris Zurher, Debbie McEwan, Martha Chumbley, Tannis Lowenberg, Debbie Tourand, Shirley Chumbley and Cheryl Leblanc.
In the last quarterfinal, the Houston Wolverines dusted the Agassiz Eagles 44-12 as Joanne Leiwen scored 8 and Bonnie Fellers 8.

In the semis, the Salmon Arm Jewels nipped the Houston Wolverines 24-23. Diane Cantlon led the Wolverines with 8. Bonny Fellers added 7.
In the other semi, the Lillooet Baronettes dispatched the Chase Trojans x-x.
In the bronze medal match, the Chase Trojans defeated the Houston Wolverines 29-23. Lucy Seinen paced the Wolverines with The Wolverines (coached by Nick Watkins) also included Arlene Bremner, Diane Cantlon, Bonny Fellers, Joanne Seinen, Linda Vriend.
In the final, the Salmon Arm Jewels defeated Lillooet 31-23.
