In the other semi, the Kamloops Westsyde Whundas defeated the Delta Pacers 71-64 as Eric Putoto scored 27. Finn Hansen paced the Pacers with 27.
In the bronze medal match, the Princeton Rebels defeated the Delta Pacers 64-45 as Ed Anderson scored 25. Finn Hansen led the Pacers with 18. The Pacers (coached by Neil Murray) also included Mark Jiles.
In the final, the Vancouver University Hill Hawks won their first crown by nipping the Kamloops Westsyde Whundas 86-85 in overtime as Jamie Alden scored the winning bucket with three seconds on the clock to cap a 6-0 run down the stretch. Westsyde took a 21-20 lead at the quarter before University Hill rallied for a 40-39 halftime lead. They extended their margin to five at the three-quarter mark but Kamloops rallied to tie the game at 75 in regulation play, setting the stage for Jamie Alden’s heroics. Alden finished with 20 and Stuart Greenwood 17 for University Hill. Westsyde was paced by Kent Lata 26 and Sean McNamee 22.
