In the quarterfinals (for schools with enrolments under 200), held in Princeton, the host Princeton Lakers dispatched the Invermere David Thompson Lakers 54-43.

The North Vancouver Windsor Dukes edged the Smithers Gryphons 46-45. Dan Lemire led the Gryphons with 18 before fouling out with three minutes to play. The Gryphons (coached by Bill Goodchild) included Gary Quadros, Pete Hess, Randy Brandvold, Dan Lemire, Guy La Marre.

The Grand Forks Wolves dispatched the Lake Cowichan Lakers 55-42 as Jim Chernoff scored 23 and Walter Sofonoff 19. The Lakers included Armijit Dhillon.

In the last quarterfinal, the Barriere Cougars defeated the Hazelton Spartans 36-31. The Spartans (coached by L Maurice Le Lacheur, manager Graham Marshall) included Art Jack, Norm Larson, Randy Coombs, Carl Brown, Randy Stevens, Tony Gawa.

In the semis, the North Vancouver Windsor Dukes defeated the Princeton Lakers 57-50.

In the other semi, the Grand Forks Wolves dispatched the Barriere Cougars 54-40 as Jim Chernoff scored 23 and Mike Strukoff 14.

In the bronze medal match, the Princeton Lakers defeated the Barriere Cougars 46-31.

In the final, the lowest scoring in AA tournament history, the Grand Forks Wolves defeated the North Vancouver Windsor Dukes 36-28 as Jim Cherkoff scored 19 and Mike Strukoff 16.
